Short Observations

Tuesday, 13. May 2008

I just watched the Trailer to The Incredible Hulk. Just a few things to say about that.

  1. I <3 Tim Roth.
  2. It’s been way too long since I saw Edward Norton in the cinema.
  3. Edward Norton is hot. *drool*
  4. Edward Norton in this film is even hotter. *swoon*
  5. Did they do something to his eyes, or were they always that blue?

I’m not sure if it’s going to be a good film, for some mysterious reason, I didn’t really pay attention to quality factors *cough*. But I definitely want to see it.

  1. Woohoo! Another Tim Roth fan.

What did you think of the first Hulk? I absolutely loved it. Can’t understand why it bombed at the box-office. The new Hulk will prolly be a treat for the fanboys and nothing else. But then, Eddie Norton is very careful about choosing his roles.

  2. Tim Roth is great – one of the most underrated actors ever.

As much as I usually like Ang Lee and as much as Eric Bana is one hell of a guy, the first Hulk sucked. To quote cracked.com: “It almost worked, until a the [sic] giant mutant dogs showed up. Sure, they gave the Shrek-like CGI Hulk something more fake-looking then himself to fight, but that didn’t stop them from being totally and pointlessly retarded.”

I really do hope though that I can rely – as usual – on Ed Norton’s choices.

  3. Edward Norton is so talented, so smart, so sexy…..and yes, his eyes ARE that blue! I’ll be seeing the Hulk on the first day.

  4. @Cate:
In the trailer, his eyes seem bluer than usual. But I’m possibly just imagining things. Happens a lot.

But you are definitely right about him being talented, smart and sexy…

  5. @Kalafudra: [Sob] [Sniff] But I loved the first Hulk.

  6. @bApH: There, there *pats head*
Everyone loves a crappy movie once in a while (and I’ve definitely seen worse movies and CGI than the first hulk. Right, Van Helsing?)…

  7. @kalafudra: Hey, I enjoyed Van Helsing. It was fun. The three vampire ladies. Kate Beckinsale’s crappy accent.

p.s. I seriously like the soundtracks for Hulk and Van Helsing by the way. The title theme for Hulk was a triumph of movements and counter-movements. And the acoustic guitar + vibrant orchestra in Van Helsing [case in point - Transylvanian Horses] was brilliant.

  8. @baph: you probably just have a bad taste :P

But you’re right, the music in both movies wasn’t bad.

  9. @Kalafudra: and you…er…have bad taste in… [struggling with a comeback]

  10. @baph: *blush* thank you, I’ll take that as a compliment…

Thing is, I do enjoy bad movies as well (I’m a sucker for Kickboxer… yes, I’m talking about the Van Damme movie). I just know that they are bad and don’t care about it.

[Not saying that you don't know either. But probably that you care. :)]

  11. @Kalafudra: Kickboxer?!?!?! I don’t really to come up with a come back for this. Self-humiliation is the best form of humiliation. :)

  12. @baph:

you know, I lost my sense for embarassement and humiliation a long time ago… and that’s a good thing, too. :)
And I’m just so helpful that I deliver you your come backs to me. Isn’t that nice?

  13. Yeah. This is nice. Now, just for the fun of it, slap yourself across the face for me. :)

  14. :P
Only if based on reciprocity. A very important principle :)
