I've seen Laputa more than twice, and my opinion never changed. It's wonderful and horrifying, and I probably wouldn't let children watch it ... and it's awesome (like at least 1000 hot dogs ^^). The castle, especially...the first time I saw it, I was sitting in the cinema with lots of small children, and they were completely awed because it looks amazing, and I was completely awed because he took the tower of Babel and made it fly...^^ I find that interesting.
